Starmer signs £8bn Typhoon deal with Turkey
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer travelled to Turkey to complete a deal worth £8bn for the sale of 20 Typhoon jets. Sir Keir completed the deal alongside Turkey’s President Erdogan in Ankara, hailing it as a ‘win for British workers’.

Princess Anne visited Sri Lanka at the request of the Foreign office to mark 75 years of diplomatic relations with the island nation since gaining independence in 1948. The Royal tour consisted of a visit to a Hindu temple in the capital Colombo, a wreath laying at a Commonwealth cemetery and a tour of a textiles factory.
